Veewon Thokchom, former president of Manipur Student’s Association Delhi who was arrested by a joint team of Manipur and Delhi police last week and given transit remand by a Delhi court was granted bail by a local court in Imphal.
Thokchom was brought to Imphal from Delhi on Tuesday before being produced in court.
The 23 year old student leader was arrested from South Delhi and sedition charges levelled against him after his post on social media against the Citizenship Bill allegedly incited violence.
