Elaborate arrangements have been made for voting by Bru refugees residing in Tripura at the inter-state border village of Kanhmun in Mamit district of Mizoram.

Over 11 thousand voters from as many as 9 constituencies are slated to exercise their franchise in 15 polling stations Kahnmun.

Elaborate security arrangements have also been made to ensure peaceful voting. Likewise two companies of CAPF have been deployed in the area.

Meanwhile, CEO Ashish Kundra informed that arrangements have been put in place for transportation of the Bru refugees from Kanchanpur in Tripura.
