A clash broke out between the CPI(M) and the ruling BJP in Khowai district of Tripura.

CPI(M) workers claim that they were allegedly attacked by the BJP while they were collecting funds for the rain hit state of Kerala.

State Secretary of CPI (M), Bijon Dhar said that the party workers were stopped in Khowai district and abused by the BJP workers.

Condemning the incident, Mr. Dhar called for strict action and requested Chief Minister Biplab Deb to intervene into the matter.
