With man-elephant conflict refusing to die, one person was trampled to death by a herd of wild jumbos at the Joydihing tea estate in Lakhimpur district of Assam.
The deceased have been identified as Bibhisan Manki. Not only this another person was crushed to death by the same herd of elephants on Sunday.
It may be mentioned that a herd of around 20-30 jumbos have strayed into the Joydihing-Koliamari forcing people to spend sleepless nights.
