Shiladitya Dev, BJP MLA from Hojai constituency in Assam has stoked a controversy that names of illegal migrants from Bangladesh has been included in the National Register of Citizens in Assam.
Expressing concern, the MLA said that this would led to ouster of indigenous from their own land in the near future.
Deb further went on to the extent of saying that the fundamentalist groups based in Pakistan and Bangladesh are constantly making efforts for including the names of illegal migrants into the National register of Citizens.
