In a historic first, SpiceJet Q400 Bombardier became the first commercial Air craft to land at the Pakyong Airport today. The Spicejet 78 seater Bombardier Q400 aircraft made a successful landing.
In terms of Sikkim’s civil & aviation history, it is the first civil fixed-wing flight to have landed in the airport. Initially, flights from Pakyong Airport will fly to Delhi, Kolkata and Guwahati. The airport completed in a span of nine years, built at a cost of 605 crores.
