Nagaland saw yet another instance of violence after a NDPP supporter was been killed at Tuli constituency. The slain NDPP activist was a supporter of party candidate James Imtikumba Yaden, and allegedly died after he and other supporters were attacked with stones by supporters of the opposition NPF candidate.
According to reports, the supporters of Yaden were travelling in three vehicles when the youth, identified as 25-year-old Longshak Konyak, fell off from one of the cars after they were pelted stones, allegedly by NPF supporters.
He was rushed to hospital where he was declared dead. Another NDPP supporter is also learnt to have sustained injuries after being hit in the stone-pelting incident.
