Zoram People’s Movement party in Mizoram on Tuesday accused state government of ‘dissolving’ corruption ombudsman Lokayukta by shifting the prestigious post under state vigilance department.
Alleging no development in infrastructure and education under the current government’s regime, ZPM has issued a statement.
In the statement, ZPM claimed that the government’s decision to dissolve Lokayukta, will now give them a free hand in embezzling development and funds.
They are of the opinion that this move has shattered the hope of eradicating corruption in state.
