He further accused the ZPM government of showing insensitivity towards those suffering from alcohol abuse.
Former Chief Minister and MNF President Zoramthanga strongly criticised the Lalduhoma-led ZPM government for permitting the unrestricted sale of alcohol.
Speaking at a party function today, he emphasized that this decision contradicts Christian morals and has severely impacted many families. Zoramthanga asserts that his party would never support the free sale of alcohol, which he said has already caused significant hardships in numerous households.
He further accused the ZPM government of showing insensitivity towards those suffering from alcohol abuse. Zoramthanga also expressed concerns over a recently passed state bill that allows the sale of alcohol.
He noted that the bill does not specify the allowable alcohol content, warning that its vague provisions may lead to misuse and further exacerbate the problems caused by alcohol in the region.
