With man-elephant conflict refusing to die, a strong herd of around 100 elephants went on a rampage at Bogoribari village in Eastern Assam’s Sadia.

The wild jumbos that strayed out of the Dibru-Saikhowa wildlife sanctuary went on a rampage in human habitat and destroyed around 13 houses besides standing crops.

On the other hand jumbo menace is still on at Dudhnoi in Goalpara district after an elephant separated from a herd is still venturing in the area.

It may be mentioned that this jumbo had trampled two persons to death three days back following which the forest department had carried out drives to chase away the elephant.
