A woman was killed in a wild elephant attack in Assam’s Goalpara today.

The incident has been reported from Baguan in Bowalmari area.

The deceased woman has been identified as Nilima Khatun.

The woman died after she was crushed under the elephant’s feet.

As per inputs, wild elephants frequently venture out into the neighbouring areas in search of food and today was just another day.

When the victim’s family learnt that a herd of elephants had entered the area, they immediately ran out to a safer location to save their lives and on their way, the woman got crushed under an elephant’s feet.
