With 32 fresh cases, the total number of COVID-19 positive persons in Manipur climbed to 490 on Monday.
All fresh cases are returnees from other parts of the country. Of the new cases, 20 cases were reported from Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) while remaining 12 from Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS).
The COVID-19 common control room of the state in a press release said that 32 individuals were confirmed as new COVID 19 positive cases at the VRDLs of RIMS and JNIMS.
Meanwhile, 60 persons were discharged on Monday after full recovery. Among the discharged, 22 are from RIMS and 38 from JNIMS, after they were found negative for the virus on RT-PCR Test.
The number of active cases now stands at 339. However, no casualty related to coronavirus has been reported in the state so far.
