He said, “When the JJM mission started in the state the household water connections in the state stood at only 4500, now the amount has reached 4,65,992, so the government has done very well.”
“ This time we got Rs 200 crores for the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) from the Government of India, so the department has started making payments to the contractors who have completed the work,” he added.
Asked about the drying up of water resources in the state, Marak said, web-enabled geo-tagging technology is being used to map and monitor water sources under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM).
