The official jersey for Team India’s next T20 World Cup 2024 has been revealed, with a spectacular entry seen in a launch video at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala. Adidas released a first preview of the shirt, which features Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma and colleagues Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja. While rumours circulated about a potential jersey design leak, supporters on social media were thrilled with the announcement and eagerly anticipated the event.

KL Rahul, Rinku Singh, and Shubman Gill were the biggest exclusions from India’s World Cup squad, but veteran spinner Yuzvendra Chahal made a remarkable comeback in the national team.

While Gill and Singh were named in the reserves, Rahul was left out as the selectors opted for two wicket-keeping options in Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson, who can also bat in the middle-order. Shivam Dube was a surprise addition to the squad after impressing fans and experts with his blistering batting for the Chennai Super Kings.

After a dismal IPL 2024 campaign, there were some doubts about Hardik Pandya’s place, but the selectors opted to put their belief in him by appointing him as the vice-captain for the tournament.

India’s squad for T20 World Cup 2024 :
Rohit Sharma (Captain), Hardik Pandya (Vice Captain), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant, Sanju Samson, Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Arshdeep Singh, Mohammed Siraj, Jasprit Bumrah.

Reserves:
Shubman Gill, Rinku Singh, Khaleel Ahmed, Avesh Khan
