Amid the flood fury in parts of Assam, a heartwarming incident has come to light from Basugaon in Chirang district. Forest department workers, along with locals, rescued an elephant calf from being swept away by the raging floodwaters. The baby elephant is now receiving treatment at the Runikhata forest range office.
