A glaring case of Covid-19 vaccination data forgery has come to light in Arwal district of Bihar. Names of politicians and personalities like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Sonia Gandhi and actress Priyanka Chopra were not the dignitaries at a government event, but a list of people supposedly vaccinated for Covid at Bihar’s Arwal district.
During an inspection of the list of vaccinated people on the vaccination portal, names of politicians and many film stars were spotted by the officials.
Two Computer Operators have been suspended who had uploaded lists of vaccinated at Karpi community health centre.
Embarrassed after the videos showing these lists went viral, the local administration has ordered an inquiry. Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey, said that he talked to the district magistrate and the Chief Medical officer and asked them to also look at data of other hospitals to ensure there are no errors.
The report of Bihar’s shocking case of data fraud comes on a day when Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said 85 percent of India’s eligible adult population has received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
