UP Shocker: Dengue patient dies after infused fruit juice

Global Hospital and Trauma Centre sealed in Uttar Pradesh. Preliminary invesitgations indicate gross medical negligence.
In a shocker from Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj, a dengue patient lost his life after he was allegedly transfused fruit juice instead of blood platelets.
After a video of the alleged incident went viral on social media, the district administration swung into action and on the direction of Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, the hospital was sealed.
A video allegedly showing mosambi juice inside a blood pack has surfaced on social media and is going viral. After the incident triggered outrage, the Chief Medical Officer ordered that Global Hospital and Trauma Centre where the incident took place must be shut.
Meanwhile, the government has ordered a three-member committee to probe the matter. A preliminary enquiry into the incident has revealed medical negligence.
