Union HM Amit Shah to be in Guwahati tomorrow

He would distribute appointment letters to 44,703 newly recruited candidates for various government jobs

Union Home Minister Amit Shah would be arriving in Guwahati tomorrow. He would distribute appointment letters to 44,703 newly recruited candidates for various government jobs, lay the foundation stone for the National Forensic Sciences University and would launch an app of the Assam Police which will enable people to file e-FIRs online.

HM Shah would distribute the appointment letters at an event in Guwahati tomorrow. The distribution is part of the Assam government’s commitment to provide 1 lakh government jobs to the youth of the state.

As informed by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday, over 88 thousand appointments have been made so far by the state government. CM Sarma had said earlier that the state government will publish additional advertisements for 22,765 posts of the state government in July this year.

Later in the day, Home Minister Shah will lay the foundation stone for the National Forensic Sciences University. CM Sarma said that while a temporary campus will begin at the premises of the Gauhati Medical College & Hospital, the permanent campus will come up at Changsari near Guwahati.
