In a significant development that could go a long way in bringing in peace and tranquility in Assam, the ULFA-Independent will get into peace talks provided the Centre considers the demands of the insurgent groups as a political issue.
In an exclusive telephonic conversation with Syed Zarir Hussain, chief managing editor of our group channel News Live, ULFA commander-in-chief Paresh Barua referred to the process in which the vexed Naga problem has been dealt with.
The ULFA (I) commander in chief further said that the Centre must take initiative and invite the outfit for talks.
