UDP Releases Second List of 9 Candidates for MDC Elections Next Year

The United Democratic Party (UDP) announced its second list of candidates for the upcoming elections to the MDC on December 30.

The United Democratic Party (UDP) announced its second list of candidates for the upcoming elections to the Meghalaya District Councils (MDC) on December 30. The polls are scheduled to take place on February 21, 2024.

The newly announced candidates are:

Medling M. Swer for War East
Kat Kassar for War Central
Shlur Lamin for War West
Damian S. War for Mynsngat
Rimilanki Synnah for Nartiang Wahiajer
Wailad Siangshai for Musniang Rangad
Suly Lyngdoh for Mawsynram
Gilbert Laloo for Mylliem
Ryngkatlang Lyndem for Langkyrdem Laitkroh

This announcement follows the party’s first list of candidates, which was released earlier. The UDP is aiming to secure a strong foothold in the district council elections.
