Meghalaya: HSPDP announces first list of 8 candidates for KHADC, JHADC polls

Earlier last week, the United Democratic Party (UDP) announced its first list of 26 candidates for the upcoming elections.

The Hill State People’s Democratic Party (HSPDP) today announced its first list of 8 candidates for the upcoming elections to the two autonomous district councils (ADCs) in the Khasi and Jaintia Hills region.

Of this, 6 candidates will be contesting the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) elections and 2 others will contest the Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council (JHADC) polls.

The party has fielded Jubanlang Kharbihkhiew for Mawkhar Pynthorumkhrah constituency, Lurshai Lyngwa for Jaiaw-Mawprem, Stodingstar Thabah for Nongspung – Sohiong, Polanding Sohphoh for Mawkyrwat, Badariti Lyngdoh Nonglait for Nongstoin, and K.Phlastingwell Pangniang for Rambrai Jyngam.

For the JHADC polls, the HSPDP has fielded Neh Langki Pala for Sutnga Nongkhlieh constituency, while named Wanshwa Nongtdu for the Narpuh seat.

Earlier last week, the United Democratic Party (UDP) announced its first list of 26 candidates for the upcoming elections.

Elections to the KHADC and the JHADC will be held on February 21, 2025.
