Two more test COVID-19 positive in Mizoram; tally rises to 24

Two persons, who had recently returned from New Delhi, tested positive for COVID-19 in Mizoram, taking the total number of positive cases in the state to 24.

From 302 samples tested at Zoram Medical College (ZMC) hospital lab, two samples were confirmed positive and both patients are under institutional quarantine.

Both individuals (1 male and 1 female) are from Aizawl District and are asymptomatic.

Chief Minister Zoramthanga in a tweet urged everyone to stay safe, take all preventive precautionary measures and abide with the various rules and regulatory procedures laid down by the State’s Administration, Health Officials and various Covid-19 related Task Forces.

With these fresh cases, the number of active COVID-19 cases has increased to 23 and one recovered.
