A sensational hit and run case has been reported from Gangtok, Sikkim. Two individuals were crushed to death by a speeding vehicle at MG Marg late last night following an alleged argument. One of the victims was a local hotel staff while the other was a driver.
The incident took place when 6 hotel staff were returning home from work at around 1.30 am.
The hotel staff was taking selfies near a structure at the opposite end of MG Marg when a group of 4 men came from the other side and allegedly got into an argument with them.
As things heated up, 2 of the 4 men disappeared from the scene only to return back on a luxury taxi and rammed the vehicle on the bystanders engaged in a tussle. The deceased have been identified as Dhan Kumar Chettri, the hotel staff, and Dawa Bhutia, a driver by profession.
The prime accused has been identified as Pawan Subba. The prime accused has been booked under murder charges.
