Tripura: Two minor girls drown after falling into a pond while playing

The deceased girls have been identified as-- Elisa Rupini (4 years, 7 months old) and Emi Debbarma (4-year-old)

Two minor girls drowned in a pond in Khowai district of Tripura today.

The incident took place in the tribal hamlet Mangaljoy Para in Teliamura subdivision of Khowai district.

The deceased girls have been identified as– Elisa Rupini (4 years, 7 months old) and Emi Debbarma (4-year-old).

As per inputs they were playing around a pond near their house while they both accidentally slipped into the pond and drowned.

On noticing, locals jumped into the pond and retrieved the children from the water and rushed them to a nearby hospital immediately. But, the doctor declared them brought dead.
