Tripura: TIPRA to contest district council polls

The Indigenous Progressive Regional Alliance or the Pradyot Debbarman-led The Indigenous Progressive Regional Alliance or TIPRA will contest the ensuing autonomous district council elections in Tripura.
This was decided in an internal meeting of the body which was presided over by royal scion Pradyot Deb Barman.
Significantly, Pradyot has urged all regional parties in the state to unite and contest the ADC elections.
TIPRA will contest the upcoming ADC elections on the agenda of the Greater TIPRA land demand.
The TIPRA also passed a resolution stating that their demand is not against any community but for the welfare of the autonomous district council.
