In a recent development, the Tripura police have recovered 23 packets of dry marijuana, weighing approximately 360 kg with a Tata Vehicle and a Honda Motor cycle from the state’s Teliamura town yesterday night. One person has been detained so far in this regard.

The Tripura police has also busted another massive drug-racket in the state’s Khowai district and seized a huge quantity of brown sugar and YA-BA tablets worth lakhs of rupees.

Three persons, identified as Dipankar Das, Krishna Malakar and Prahlad Biswas have been arrested in connection with the case. A Maruti car has also been seized by the police. Further investigations into the matter are underway.
