In view of the Tripura High Court’s order directing to complete the upcoming ADC elections in the state by May 17, the state election department is holding talks with various political parties in the state.
Accordingly, a meeting was held on Saturday in which a delegation led by state BJP vice president Rampad Jamatia met state election commissioner Manik Lal Dey.
As per reports, both sides mutually agreed to conduct the forthcoming ADC elections in a smooth and orderly manner.
Furthermore, the BJP delegation proposed to announce the dates of the election keeping in mind various religious ceremonies and examinations. It was also proposed that security arrangements be made by identifying sensitive areas.
