Tripura CM Manik Saha congratulates state NEET-UG topper Chand Mallick

Mallik was among the 67 students who secured the first position in the All India National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET-UG) 2024 examination.

Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Monday extended warm congratulations to Chand Mallick, state NEET-UG topper when the latter called on him at his residence in Agartala and said that his achievement will set an example for other students of Tripura.

CM Saha conveyed his best wishes to Chand Mallick for his future endeavors and encouraged him to continue pursuing his academic aspirations with the same determination and zeal.

On a Facebook post CM Saha wrote, “Congratulated Shri Chand Mallick at my official residence today. He is a meritorious student of the state who secured the first position in the recently concluded NEET-UG examination results. His success will set an example for the students of the state.”

Mallick is among the 67 students from Tripura who secured the first position in the All India National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET-UG) 2024 examination.

The test was conducted on May 5, and the provisional answer key was released on May 29. The final answer key was released on June 4.

A total of 23,33,297 students appeared for the exam out of 24,06,079 registered candidates. 13,16,268 qualified the examination. The candidates included 1,029,154 males and 1,376,831 females.

The cut-off has increased marginally in view of increased competition. For the Unreserved and Economically Weaker Section (EWS), the cut-off has risen to 720 to 164 compared to 720 to 137 in 2023.
