Tripura: BSF personnel found dead in Agartala under mysterious circumstances

The jawan was declared brought dead by doctors at the Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital

A Border Security Force (BSF) jawan from the 42nd battalion was found dead in Shanmura village close to the India-Bangladesh border in Tripura on Friday.
The on-duty trooper, identified as Ishwar Chandra Dora from Orissa, was found lying beside a drain in Shanmura, in the outskirts of Agartala.
Investigating officer, Sub Inspector Sukumar Das from the Ramnagar outpost said that Ishwar Chandra Dora, a member of the BSF’s Alpha Company, was found near border pillar number 2022.
Upon finding him, he was immediately rushed to the Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital. He was declared brought dead by the doctors on duty.
The circumstances surrounding his sudden demise remain unclear, prompting the initiation of a police case and a post-mortem along with an investigation to determine the cause of the death.
