Tripura: 2 missing students rescued from Mumbai

Two students who went missing from ​​Agartala in Tripura earlier this week were rescued by Tripura Police from Mumbai yesterday, said Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha.

On recieving information about the incident, CM Manik Saha had immidiately ordered the State Police to look into the sudden disappearance of these children and find their whereabouts.

Following the order, a team of Tripura Police swung into action and rescued the students from Mumbai yesterday. They will be brought back to Agartala today and handed over to their respective families.

However, CM Saha has not revealed how the students went missing and landed in Mumbai.

The Chief Minister has lauded the effort of police and said, “The role of the state police in locating the two minors is highly commendable.”

“গত কয়েকদিন পূর্বে আগরতলার বড়জলা এলাকা থেকে দুই নাবালক ছাত্র- ওমকার চক্রবর্তী এবং পৃথ্বী দেববর্মা নিখোঁজ হওয়ার ঘটনা আমার গোচরে আসলে আমি তৎক্ষণাৎ ত্রিপুরা পুলিশকে তদন্তের নির্দেশ দিই।ত্রিপুরা পুলিশের তৎপরতায় আজ এই দুই নিখোঁজ ছাত্রকে মুম্বাইয়ে উদ্ধার করা হয়েছে। আগামীকাল তাদের আগরতলায় ফিরিয়ে আনা হবে এবং নিজ নিজ পরিবারের হাতে তুলে দেওয়া হবে।
দুই নাবালককে খুঁজে পাওয়ার ক্ষেত্রে রাজ্য পুলিশের ভূমিকা অত্যন্ত প্রশংসনীয়।.” CM Saha wrote in Bengali on X.
