Normal life came to a standstill in the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council areas following a 12-hour shutdown called by the Twipraland State Party (TSP) on Monday.
The shutdown started at 5 am in the morning and will culminate at 5 pm.
The shutdown has been called by the party to oppose the Citizenship Amendment Bill and is demanding upgradation of the TTAADC as a separate State.
Party president CR Deb Barman while speaking to Northeast Live said, the shutdown so far has been peaceful.
The review meeting was attended by Chief Ministers of Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Tripura.
