Trio inspired by ISIS, planned terror attack at a nondescript lodge in Assam’s Goalpara

The plan to bomb locations at Assam and Delhi by the three ISIS-inspired youths was hatched at a nondescript lodge in Goalpara.

The trio Ranjeet Ali, Muquadir Islam and Jamil were arrested by a special team of Delhi Police from Goalpara.

The trio were staying at room number 102 of the lodge and planned terror strikes in Delhi and Assam. The three persons were arrested after police raided the lodge.

A large quantity of explosives including a ready-state IED, 1 kg explosive powder were recovered from the youths.

Delhi Police Special Cell’s Deputy Commissioner Pramod Kushwaha told media that apart from Delhi, the the arrested youths were also planning to carry out terror strike during a festival in Assam’s Dudhnoi.
