The family is accusing the doctors and the nurse treating the pregnant woman of utter negligence leading to the birth of a stillborn child and are now demanding an investigation

Doctors of Mediland Hospital in Silchar, Assam, have been accused of medical negligence that resulted in a pregnant lady giving birth to a stillborn child.
As per inputs, the pregnant woman was admitted to the hospital on Sunday evening after she was experiencing labour pain. Later at night she was given an injection. Then she was taken for surgery and according to the doctors she gave birth to a stillborn child. This obviously triggered anger and grief among the family members of the lady.
Grieving the loss of his child, Dilwar Hussain Lashkar, husband of the pregnant lady said, “Everything was normal before the injection including the heartbeat of the baby but after the injection everything went downhill.”
He expressed doubts about the treatment and alleged that the doctors and the nurse were responsible for the death of his child.
The husband and his family members said that the doctor and the nurse disappeared after the child was declared dead and they found this suspicious. The family has now sought an investigation into the matter and is seeking justice. They also emphasized the need for taking appropriate action to ensure quality healthcare in the hospitals of Silchar.
Earlier in October, in another incident of alleged medical negligence, a two-month-old baby died in a hospital in Assam’s Golaghat district.
