Arunachal: Traditional Thangka painting training underway in Bomdila to generate self-employment

A month-long training programme on traditional Thangka painting and Buddhist painting has begun at District Industry Center Bomdila in an effort to promote self-employment.
25 youths from the town who are unemployed are receiving training. Director of Skill Development Subu Tabin is providing the training.
The trainees will be trained in painting of eight Buddhist lucky symbols in which they will be instructed for drawing outlines, sketching, colouring, and detail perfection.
The training programme was inaugurated on Monday (February 6).
Extra Assistant Commissioner Arbind Pengeng, the event’s chief guest, encouraged the students by noting them that there are only a limited number of government jobs available. Therefore, he also suggest that they take advantage of the optional practical training programme for self-employment.
On the other hand, Assistant Director of Industries of District Industry Centre Passang Tsering Monpa briefed the importance of traditional local paintings and motivated the youth trainees to attend the training with enthusiasm and sincerity. He also implored the master and assistant trainers to impart the training with dedication.
He further, expressed his gratitude to Subu Tabin for providing the training at Bomdila.
