Three suspected citizens have been arrested by the Kamalpur police for forging documents produced regarding inclusion of names in the National Register of Citizens.

The arrest was made on the basis of a case registered with the Hojai police in Nagaon district. The trio identified as Subhash Das, Hemanta Das and Raju Das had forged legacy data of Prakash Das.

Not only confining to forging the legacy data, the three miscreants had also issued death threats to Prakash Das, if the latter did not assist them during scrutiny for including names in the NRC.
