The ensuing Bypolls in the Northeast seems to be a family affair, with spouse and children of Chief Ministers, MPs and MLAs in the fray. By elections are scheduled for a total of 8 assembly constituencies, 5 in Assam, 2 in Sikkim and 1 in Meghalaya on the 13 of November. However in Sikkim, the ruling SKM has won both seats uncontested. Well, what is noteworthy is that in the 8 assembly constituencies, there are as many as 6 kin of leaders in the candidate list.
