Are Manipur’s Churachandpur Roads Neglected?
The once-thriving town of Churachandpur, has been plagued by deteriorating roads, leaving commuters facing a risky journey. Since May 2023, the town has witnessed a stark lack of development works, exacerbating the issue. The Tedim Road, a critical connectivity artery, has turned into a potholed nightmare, stretching over 7 to 10 kilometers. Erosion from monsoon floods has ravaged the surface, creating deep trenches and large potholes. Areas like K Salbung, Molnom, Tuibong, Bijang, and Rayburn High School have become accident-prone zones.
