As per fresh inputs, Mufti Mustafa had allegedly been operating a terror module from the Sahariagan Madrassa.

It is learned that six months ago, Mufti Mustafa brought 2 suspicious people from Bangladesh who stayed in the Madrassa.

Now, the police have also detained Mufti Mustafa’s uncle Amir Hamza for questioning. Hamza is being rigorously interrogated by the police as well as the NIA.

Meanwhile, the police have also recovered a mobile phone which was allegedly kept hidden by Mufti Mustafa.

Earlier on July 28, the Assam Police, based on specific intel, nabbed a suspected jihadi identified as Mufti Mustafa who had been running the Jami-ul- Huda Madrassa in Moirabari.

In fact, it is also learned that Mustafa had been in close contact with Amiruddin Ansari of the Bangladesh-based Ansarullah Bangla Team, and had been minting money from him on a routine basis.
