Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh has made it clear that the State would not accept any provision of the forthcoming Naga Peace Accord that compromises Manipur’s territorial integrity or impacts on the state in any way.

Biren Singh, who is camping in Delhi with his entire cabinet as well as top state BJP leaders, added that only a unanimous decision on any matter concerning Manipur will be acceptable to the people.

Biren Singh added that while the state welcomes an early solution to the Naga issue, the Centre should seek the consent of the state assembly before taking a final call on the Naga peace talks if it affects the territorial integrity or internal affairs of Manipur. He, however, expressed hope that the Centre will protect the interests of Manipur.
