In a shocking incident, parents abandon their specially abled child under a bridge at Dhanubhanga in Assam’s Goalpara district.

Unable to take care of the seven year old because of his specially abled nature, the parents decided to abandon him. Both the parents were picked up by police from a rented house in Guwahati’s Bhetapara area on Tuesday evening.

The father has been identified as Silchay Rai. The parents were taken to Goalpara district where they are being kept at Dhupdhara police station. A case has been registered against them and they have been formally placed under arrest.
