Northeastern state Sikkim bags the best emerging eco-tourism destination (Gold) Award on Outlook Traveller Awards & Carnival 2024. The award presentation event was held on 30 November in New Delhi.
The awards recognise and acknowledge the outstanding efforts made by the respective Governments to create niche in the travel and tourism industry. The event was a standout moment in the travel calendar, gathering industry leaders, renowned travel brands, influencers, and tourism experts under one roof to celebrate the best in travel and tourism.
The award for Best Emerging Eco-Tourism Destinations was presented by Satpal Maharaj, Minister of Tourism, Uttarakhand. Representing Sikkim, N Sridhar Rao IPS, OSD & Peden Bhutia, Asst. PRO from Tourism & Civil Aviation Dept, Govt. of Sikkim gracefully accepted the accolade, symbolizing the state’s commitment to green & sustainable tourism and its growing prominence on the eco-tourism map.
Departments thanks Chief Minister, Tourism Minister and Chief Secretary for their guidance and support in reaching this milestone.
