Sikkim: Two School Employees Arrested For Alleged Misconduct With Minor Girl Student In a Pakyong School

Police have issued a notice to the said teacher for further investigation.
In a shocking incident, a teacher and a non-teaching staff member from a school in Sikkim’s Pakyong district have been arrested following allegations of inappropriate conduct involving a 13-year-old female student.
As per the daily situation report issued by Sikkim Police, it was revealed that the minor informed her guardian about repeated instances of misconduct by a computer teacher and a non-teaching staff member.
She also reported receiving unsolicited messages on social media from one of the accused.
It has come to light that the student had previously shared her concerns with a female teacher, who allegedly advised her against reporting the matter. Police have issued a notice to the said teacher for further investigation.
Based on the complaint, two separate FIRs have been registered under relevant provisions of the POCSO Act, 2012, and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
The accused are currently in police custody.
The minor has undergone a medical examination, and all necessary legal protocols are being followed, including her presentation before the Child Welfare Committee.
