A man who returned from Delhi recently have tested positive for COVID-19 in Sikkim, taking the total number of cases in the state to 2.

The 56-year-old man, who arrived in Sikkim from the national capital on May 25, was found positive on Tuesday night.

The person had been put in quarantine facility upon his arrival to the state. Reportedly, the patient is asymptomatic.

However, it is to be noted that two other persons living in the same room with the positive patient at the quarantine facility have tested negative.

The Himalayan state now has two positive COVID-19 cases and both are asymptomatic.

Sikkim reported its first coronavirus case on May 23, when a 25-year-old tested positive after returning from Delhi.
