Sikkim Man Carrying Exam Answer Sheets Dies in Road Accident in Assam

The driver of the vehicle, identified as Rudra Subba, has sustained injuries and has been admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

In a tragic road accident, a resident of Sikkim lost his life, and another person was critically injured in an accident in Assam’s Bajali district on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Padam Bahadur Giri, an Upper Division Clerk (UDC) in the Examination Cell of the Education Department, of Sikkim Government.

The driver of the vehicle, identified as Rudra Subba, has sustained injuries and has been admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

As per inputs, Giri was on his way to Guwahati to submit examination answer sheets when the unfortunate incident took place.

The answer sheets have been safely retrieved by the local police and are currently in their custody. The Regional Center in Guwahati has also been informed about the incident.

Upon receiving the news, the Director of the Examination Cell, along with the deceased’s family members, left for Guwahati to facilitate the necessary procedures. The Education Department has assured that it will take full responsibility for bringing back Giri’s body to his family in Gangtok.

Meanwhile, the local police have begun an investigation to determine the cause of the accident. Further details are awaited.
