Sikkim Govt forms high level comm to probe irregularities in construction of Teesta Stage-III

The Government of Sikkim has doubled down on its commitment, to investigate any irregularities in the construction of the Teesta Stage-III Dam in North Sikkim, which collapsed during the catastrophic flash floods earlier this month. During its recent meeting, the Sikkim Cabinet had directed the state’s Vigilance Police to conduct a comprehensive inquiry to find out whether there is any criminal angle in the whole process of construction of the project and submit a report for registration of the case and transfer to the CBI.
