Sikkim Assembly Polls 2024: 25 candidates in fray in Yoksum-Tashiding, Yangthang, Maneybong-Dentam, and Gyalshing-Barnyak seats

Out of a total of 29 candidates who filed nominations, candidatures of 4 candidates were rejected as they did not fulfil the criteria

The District Election Officer (DEO)-cum-Returning Officer (RO), M Bharani Kumaar, IAS, and Returning Officer Pari Bishnoi, IAS, conducted the scrutiny of candidates for all four assembly constituencies under Gyalshing District today. This crucial process was conducted at the chamber of Returning Officers, Gyalshing.

The scrutiny proceeded systematically, constituency-wise, covering 01- Yoksum-Tashiding, 02- Yangthang, 03- Maneybong-Dentam, and 04- Gyalshing-Barnyak respectively.

Out of a total of 29 candidates who filed nominations, 4 candidates did not meet the acceptance criteria and their nominations were therefore rejected.

The following is the list of validly nominated candidates whose nominations were accepted by the Returning Officers of the four assembly constituencies under Gyalshing district.

01- Yoksam- Tashiding (BL) AC:

  1. Kamal Lepcha, Indian National Congress (INC)
  2. Kunzang Sherab Bhutia, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)
  3. Meewang Gyatso Bhutia, Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF)
  4. Tshering Thendup Bhutia, Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM)
  5. Jigmey Bhutia, Citizen Action Party (CAP)
  6. Palden Lepcha, Independent Candidate7. Sangso Lepcha, Independent Candidate
  7. Sonam Palzor Bhutia, Independent Candidate

02- Yangthang AC:

  1. Bhim Hang Limboo, Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM)
  2. Kesham Limboo, Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF)
  3. Mangal Subba, Indian National Congress (INC)
  4. Sancha Man Limboo, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)
  5. Phip Dhoj Limboo, Citizen Action Party (CAP)
  6. Pravin Sharma, Independent Candidate

03- Maneybung-Dentam AC:

  1. Nar Bahadur Gurung, Indian National Congress (INC)
  2. Narendra Kumar Subba, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)
