The Rising People’s Party has launched an online campaign in Nagaland for the imposition of President’s Rule in the state.

The online campaign aims to gather at least 10,000 signatures which will be forwarded to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take action on the demand.

Earlier, on May 12 the RPP had submitted a representation to the Centre; pleading for President’s Rule in the state on grounds of financial emergency. The party believes that imposition of President’s Rule is the only solution to fiscal mismanagement and systemic corruption plaguing the state under the present United Democratic Alliance government.
