In a shocking incident, a newborn baby girl was found dead in Khowai district hospital’s dustbin on Monday morning. The cleaning staff, who came to do their regular cleaning work, found the lifeless body of the baby inside a dustbin in front of the toilet block near the women’s ward.
According to hospital authorities, all the pregnant women who were admitted to the hospital for delivery in the last few days are in the specific ward, and there is no missing pregnant woman. The medical superintendent, Dr. Rajesh Debbarma, confirmed that the police have been informed and will investigate the matter.
