In a shocking revelation, biomedical and chemical waste from the Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) has been found dumped at the Central Dairy Plant in Porompat, Imphal. Reports indicate that the hazardous waste has been lying abandoned for over 3-4 months, just 100-200 meters from the dairy plant’s machinery and equipment and about 100 meters from the cattle feed facility inaugurated by former Chief Minister N. Biren Singh on August 10, 2021.
