A 13-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted multiple times by multiple people since last year in Geyzing District of Sikkim.

Narrating her horrific ordeal during counselling, the minor girl disclosed the name of a woman in her neighbourhood who would frequently call her over to assist with domestic chores.

However, after completing the chores, the woman would allegedly coerce the victim to engage in repeated sexual intercourse with her husband. The woman would also allegedly invite two other individuals and force the victim to engage in penetrative sexual acts in exchange for money.

The girl also revealed the names of four other juveniles who were sexually assaulting her since last year.

Sikkim Police has reportedly arrested the accused individuals including the woman, three men and four juveniles and cases have been filed under provisions of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita and POCSO Acts after a member of the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) of one of the schools in Geyzing filed an FIR after getting to know about the incident.
